Carita Hännikäinen (born in 1974) is a self-taught visionary who began creating her art in 2015.

Her artistic repertoire, which includes paintings, drawings, and photographs, not only embraces visionary art but also melds elements of naïvism and black comedy into a unique style she has dubbed ’lambism’. Many of her paintings are rich with mythological and symbolic themes, often presenting complex philosophical reflections on evocative subjects like religion, war, death, and totalitarianism.

A distinctive feature of her work is the use of recycled materials, incorporating items like old frames and canvases.
